ALFRED – Oxford Academy graduate, Haley Witchella, a sophomore on Alfred State’s women’s basketball team, was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Player of the Week following a pair of wins last week.

In a 66-62 win over the Penn College of Technology, Witchella had a game-high 29 points to go with 16 rebounds, five steals, and six blocked shots. She followed that with 22 points and 23 rebounds in a 65-50 victory over Finger Lakes Community College.
