CHENANGO COUNTY – The Chenango County Probation Department, in coordination with the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office and Norwich City Police Department, spent New Year’s Eve conducting an after-hours sobriety compliance check on the residences of over 50 people on probation.

According to the Probation Department, officers made contact with a total of 32 offenders, 24 of whom were found to be in compliance with the terms and conditions of their probation. Of the 24 compliant offenders, nine participate in the county’s Treatment Court program.
