SHERBURNE – The 35th annual Winter Living Celebration brought visitors out in droves Saturday to Rogers Environmental Education Center. The center’s parking lot proved inadequate to handle the steady flow of visitors and supplementary parking had to be utilized.

During the event, the Rogers Center was ablaze with life, as crowds bundled in winter attire strolled from one spectacle to another. Two large horse-drawn wagons ferried exuberant children and pleased adults throughout the event in a continuous circuit. The education center itself was abuzz with people warming themselves and enjoying a number of indoor entertainments, including live music, refreshments, as well as demonstrations conducted by a fly-fishing expert. The Rogers Center also provide a cozy view of kids patiently sitting outside coated in seed as they waited expectantly for hungry birds to alight on their outstretched arms. A lot more birds were attracted by the prospect of a free meal this year because of the colder weather, reported administrators.

“This truly is a joyous festival,” said Sarah O’Shea ,who last attended the annual Winter Living Celebration in 2010. “Everyone I’ve seen seems to be having a good time.”
