GENEVA – For the second year in a row, Hobart College junior forward Richie Bonney (Norwich/Norwich, N.Y.) has earned a spot on the Capital One Academic All-District Men’s Basketball first team as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Bonney is a double major in philosophy and public policy studies. He is a Dean’s List student and a member of Chimera, the Hobart College junior class honor society.

On the court, Bonney has started all 17 games this season, producing a Liberty League leading 20.9 points per game (22nd in the nation). He’s averaging 7.8 rebounds a game (4th in the league) and paces the Statesmen in steals (20) and blocked shots (14). Bonney boasts a conference-best .639 field goal percentage, which ranks eighth in the nation and is .018 better than the current Hobart season record.
