NORWICH – Five individuals have been charged in connection with a bench warrant executed by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office – assisted by members of its narcotics division – on the morning of Feb. 2 on South State Street.

Sean R. Beam, 34, Norwich; Eric W. Carpenter, 32, Plymouth; Lexus C. Armstrong, 18, Oxford; Nadine A. Button, 34, Norwich; and a 16-year-old Norwich youth each face one count of obstruction of governmental administration, a class A misdemeanor, after they allegedly attempted to obstruct and impede an investigation into the location of a sixth individual, Cheryl L. Myers, 32, Norwich, wanted on an active bench warrant issued by the Town of Norwich Court for failure to appear on a prior charge of petit larceny.
