NORWICH – Family and friends of the late Casey Rae Decker will gather for a musical memorial celebrating her life – Songs for Casey – from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Park Place Restaurant and Lounge, 7 East Park Place.

Live music will be provided by local guitarists Mike Davis and Brian Golden – joined by drummer Nick Andrews – and donations will be accepted throughout the event, with all proceeds benefitting the In Memory of Casey Decker Scholarship Fund. Said Golden, who along with Davis and close friend of Casey’s Stacy Atwell organized the event, “This was simply the only way we could think of to celebrate Casey. Music was such an important part of her life and hopefully we’ll be able to provide some closure for her family and her friends.”

Davis, Golden and Andrews will be performing three sets of music including songs that were hand-picked by the Decker family, having spent more than 30 hours in rehearsal for what the trio called a unique and heartfelt tribute to a good friend.
