‘What’s New’ from the upcoming CCHH Souper Bowl

NORWICH – Excitement is growing as the Chenango County Habitat for Humanity’s (CCHH) second annual soup tasting fundraiser, the CCHH Souper Bowl, nears. Habitat volunteers have so much planned for the Saturday, March 16 soup tasting event; it’s bound to be more “souperior” than ever! Aside from the new location at the Norwich Family YMCA, and the new hours, from 4 to 6 p.m., there are many other new happenings that everyone’s enthused about.

One of the biggest changes is the expanded Habitat Bake Sale, running from noon to 6 p.m. Due to the great new YMCA space, the Bake Sale, chaired by Bonnie Graves, will be managed like a separate event, but with no entry fee. Held just outside the community room, the array of baked delicacies will be available for sale four hours before the Souper Bowl even opens! Volunteers will be ‘whipping up’ delicious home baked cakes, breads, cookies and more with an emphasis on everyone’s favorite, “pies, pies, pies!”
