Village of Earlville mayor reelected

EARLVILLE – Incumbent William Excell has been reelected over two other candidates to the office of village mayor, receiving 64.74 percent of the total 156 voters who submitted ballots, according to the Madison County Board of Elections website.

Runner-up Sara Chapman DuVal received 32 percent of the total votes and candidate Jason L. Fowlston attained 3.2 percent.

“I feel really good about being reelected and today is also my birthday,” said Mayor Excell. “A lot of good has been accomplished and I look forward to continuing to do that as well as keeping taxes down.”
