Pratt Jr. wins Greene Bowlodrome men’s handicap house title
GREENE – Carl Pratt, Jr. recently captured the overall title in the Greene Bowlodrome 2013 Men’s House Handicap Tournament.
Twenty-seven bowlers participated in the tournament on Saturday, and after four games, the top five qualifiers earned spots in a TV-tournament-style roll-off. The top seeds in order were Pratt Jr. (959), Jim Cirigliano (889), Jim Milk (880), Carl Collver (873), and Bill Smith (847).
In the opening match, Collver beat Smith, 238-234, then needed a two-frame roll-off to move past Milk after the two finished 10 frames in a 193-193 deadlock. Collver was ousted by Cirigliano, 193-157 to set up a finals match in which Pratt Jr. topped Cirigliano, 224-215.
