SHERBURNE – Following a month-long investigation into the alleged sale of marijuana from a Sherburne residence, the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, assisted by the Village of Sherburne Police Department, executed a “no knock” search warrant yesterday at 476 Pleasant Valley Road.

Narcotics detectives arrested Robert R. Reynolds, 52, of 476 Pleasant Valley Road, charging him with criminal possession marijuana in the first degree, a class C felony. A search of Reynolds home revealed several items of concern, including approximately 100 pounds of high-grade, processed marijuana. In addition, the Sheriff's Office seized more than $36,000 in cash and an estimated $17,000 in personal property, such as scales and other drug paraphernalia. A conservative estimate of the drugs' street value is thought to be more than $100,000.

It was alleged that Reynolds, in 2007, engaged in a gun fight with a home invader, shooting dead Joshua D. Richheimer, 32, formerly of Pittsfield. Following an investigation into the disappearance of Richheimer, Reynolds was found to be in possession of three to four pounds of marijuana leading to his conviction in 2008.
