Edwards named to BCANY ‘Top 50’

NORWICH – Norwich High School senior Kyle Edwards added one more accolade to his 2012-2013 basketball season.
Edwards was recently named to the Basketball Coaches Association of New York (BCANY) “Best of BCANY Top 50 Players.”
An All-BCANY team is chosen in each section of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association as well as New York City Catholic, private, and public schools from schools whose coach is a BCANY member. From those lists, the top players in each classification are submitted to the BCANY Board of Directors, who made the final selections.
Edwards started on Norwich’s Section IV Class B championship team this past season, and led the Purple Tornado in scoring. “Kyle overcame a lot of adversity this season, and this award is well deserved,” said Norwich varsity boys basketball coach, Tom Collier.
