UV alum walking for a cause in Boston’s Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

NEW BERLIN – Current Saratoga Springs resident and 2005 Unadilla Valley Alum Brittany Miller will be participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer May 18-19 in Boston, Mass.

According to Miller, all the participants in the walk have been sent emails since the bombings in Boston on Monday and a cancellation has not been announced. Despite the horrible events that played out earlier this week, Miller said she is optimistic about the walk and is hoping it will continue as scheduled.

The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is a 39.4 mile trek through the city of Boston, where participants will begin at the Boston Harbor and pass by landmarks such as the Boston Garden, the Boston Commons, and Fenway Park.
