Norwich Theater Company presents “How Green Was My Brownie”

The Norwich Theater Company, Inc. is proud to present “How Green Was My Brownie,” Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Martin W. Kappel Theater, 27 West Main St.
The story goes something like this ...
There seems to be quite a bit of action taking place in the Flinder household. Winifred Flinder supposedly just got out of the hospital following an operation, but says she has spent the last weeks in Paris. Her husband, Addison Flinder, thinks his wife is planning to join a convent. Their daughter, Bonnie, is convinced both of her parents have gone crazy.
Written by Jack Sharkey, “How Green Was My Brownie” is a dynamic and engaging comedy. The Norwich Theater Company is able to present the production through a special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., made possible through public funds granted by the New York State Council of the Arts, administered by the Chenango Council of the Arts.
The Norwich Theater Company was established in 2010 and has since gained a reputation for its quality productions and community involvement. Future plans for the company include an expanded production schedule, workshops, and musical performances.
Sitting in on the play Wednesday night, it is clear the cast and crew have worked hard to deliver a solid production. The performances of the cast members were engaging, and audience members will most likely spend the duration of the production curious as to what antics are going to happen next with the Flinders, their friends, neighbors, housekeeper and handyman. Anyone looking for some laughs this weekend? This is a show you don’t want to miss.
“They’ve worked pretty hard for six to eight weeks and they’ve done a great job,” said Director Richard Heim. “It is a really funny show.”
Tickets can be purchased online at norwichtheatercompany.org, or at the door. General admission tickets for online reservations are $10, seniors are $9 and students can get in for $9.50. General admission tickets at the door the day of the show are $12. For more information, visit norwichtheatercompany.org.
