Relay for Life to hold final team captain’s meeting
NORWICH – The Chenango Relay for Life Committee will hold its final team captain’s meeting at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, in the community room of Morrisville State College’s Norwich campus at 20 Conkey Ave.
According to Relay event chair Marie DeSarro, it is very important for team captains to attend this last meeting prior to the main event, which takes place in just eleven short days.
“Teams will be able to pick up any last minute forms and ask questions,” said DeSarro, who added that if a team captain is unable to attend, to please send a team member or representative in the captain’s place.
This will not be typical meeting format, but it is very important for someone from each team to attend, and each team must sign up for a time slot, she said. Teams that have signed up for a time slot already should contact Marie, Wilma or Joanie to do so.
The main Relay for Life event will begin at 3 p.m. July 19 at the Chenango County Fairgrounds and will run throughout the night, and DeSarro encourages the public to attend and participate.
