Elites pull away for victory

NEW BERLIN – The OCO Elites’ 17U baseball team snapped a 3-3 tie with four runs in the fifth inning en route to a 9-6 victory over Hancock last weekend.
Travis Briggs, Austin Lewis, and Michael Clark had key basehits in OCO’s fifth-inning uprising. Richard Ryan and Mason Alford had two hits apiece for the Elites. Austin Taylor scored twice and drove in a run, and Austin Brown smacked a two-run double.
Austin Taylor pitched two scoreless innings of relief – the fifth and sixth innings – to pick up the victory.
