NORWICH – A dozen people appeared in county court for arraignments, all of whom pleaded not guilty to the respective charges for which they have been indicted.

• Kyle W. Braman, 28, Binghamton, pleaded not guilty to the charges of second degree rape, a class D felony; second degree criminal sexual act, a class D felony; and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

It is alleged that in July of this year, Braman had sexual relations with a female who was less than 15-years-old at a Village of Sherburne residence.

During his arraignment, it was pointed out by public defender John Cameron that Braman is member of the National Guard and anticipates being discharged in a month. It also came to light during the proceeding that a warrant had been issued charging Braman with second degree criminal contempt for allegedly tampering with a witness. Allegedly, Braman contacted the 15-year-old female and attempted to influence her testimony prior to grand jury indictments.

In response, Cameron stated that Braman denies the allegation. Braman was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $25,000 cash bail to re-appear in court at a later date.

• Micheal R. Pollock, 44, Pharsalia, pleaded not guilty to charges of first degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while having a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, and driving while intoxicated - all class E felonies. He was released on his own recognizance to return to court at a later date.
