WINDSOR - The Norwich victory streak reached three meets this season as Norwich captured every event except for diving in Friday’s matchup against Windsor.
Despite the ease with which it won the swimming events, Norwich did produce five personal-best times, said head coach Kevin Diefenbacher. Marybeth Ward (200 IM), Alexis Laundry (200 free), and Erin Gawronski (100 breaststroke) were three of the personal-best times that led to victories.
Freshman Danika Tworkowsky took another competitive step forward winning four events (two individual and two relays). Tworkowsky was out of action for all nine months of the offseason mending an injury, and this past Tuesday was her first competition of any kind since last season.
Ravyn Benedict added a victory, and the Tornado swept the three relays. Adding strong performances were Nicole Mealey in the 100 free, and Oxford native Abby Voce in the 100 breaststroke.
