NHS Music Department to announce this year's spring production

NORWICH – Any Norwich City School District students in grades 7 through 12 interested in participating in this years' NHS spring musical is asked to please attend an informational meeting on Tuesday evening October 8, 2013 from 6-7 p.m., in the NHS auditorium.

This meeting is for all NCSD students in grades 7 through 12 who may be interested in any aspect of the show form acting to stage crew to set work. We are also asking all parents of interested students to attend as well. Please direct questions to 334-4307.

Owls of New York

SHERBURNE – The Chenango Bird Club presents “Owls of New York” at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Rogers Environmental Education Center’s Bird Cabin.

10 species of owls are either year-round residents, regular visitors or visit New York State occasionally. We’ll take a look at taxidermic mounts from the George Lesser Collection and anatomical specimens housed at Rogers Center to learn about these fascinating creatures.
