Cyclones head to the playoffs

ROME – Facing a must-win situation to qualify for the playoffs a fifth straight year, the Norwich Cyclones C team blanked the Rome Colts, 7-0.

Following a Rome miscue, the Cyclones came through with a hard-fought, tough win with Cameron Byrne scoring from the five-yard line with only 3:40 left in the game. A Michael Squires pass to Ayden John-Lorimer was good for the extra point.

The winning touchdown was set up by two outstanding receptions by Lorimer – one from Byrne on an option, and the other from Squires.
