Greene Paranormal Society tour set for tonight

GREENE – The Greene Paranormal Society is geared up and ready to go for its annual history and ghost tours throughout the Village of Greene.
According to paranormal investigator Bill Lenga, this is the third year the society has offered this event to area residents.
Those wishing to take part are asked to meet at the Moore Memorial Library at 7 p.m., in the parking lot, Thursday evening. The tour will lead participants up and down Genessee Street on foot, and there will be several stops at businesses along the route.
“We will be discussing history, urban legends and ghost stories,” stated Lenga. “We’ll end at the Sherwood Hotel.”
Admission is $10 per person.
“One hundred percent of all monies collected are donated to the Greene Food Bank,” said Lenga.
Lenga added the tours are a great opportunity for those interested to learn some little known history and ghost stories regarding the community.
Following the tour tonight, another is set for Oct. 24. This tour is a driving tour to various areas and will begin at the Marr’s residence on North Chenango Street in Greene. It will end at the Julian House.
The society will additionally be on hand Oct. 31 at the Sherwood Hotel. According to Lenga this will involve a ghost investigation at the newly renovated Sherwood, as well as the telling of ghost stories.
