Prime making impact in freshman season
MARCY – SUNY Institute of Technology head men's soccer coach Peterson Jerome preaches defense, and freshman Cameron Prime, a 2013 Norwich graduate, has become a valuable part of the Wildcats' scheme.
SUNY IT recently completed a 15-1-1 regular season record and is among the top-ranked East Region teams in the most recent NSCAA/Contintenal Division III poll.
Winners of nine straight games, SUNY IT finished third in the nation among Division III schools in goals against average, and Prime started 13 of the 14 games he played.
"Cameron has been an intricate part of what we have done," Coach 'Pete' said. "He got knocked out and missed a couple of games, but he's back and close to 100 percent, and we couldn't be happier."
