Milford Academy completes 10th straight winning season
NEW BERLIN – In its tenth season in New Berlin, Milford Academy made it 10 straight winning seasons beating the Navy JV team last weekend, 36-23.
It was the ninth win of the season for the Falcons, who defeated the Army JV team the previous week.
Since moving its campus to New Berlin, Milford Academy has posted a 94-23 overall mark, and has launched the college football careers of 250 Division I-A and AA players with an average of 15 players per year participating in postseason bowl games.
Four former players have become Division I all-Americans: Shonn Greene, LeSean McCoy, Fred Russell, and Tyler Matakevich. Dominique Williams was also named a Division 1AA all-American.
Greene, McCoy, and Russell all landed in the NFL along with several other former Milford Academy players.
This season, the Falcons have 15 early 1-A offers this season. Schools with scholarship offers include Colorado, Syracuse, Ohio State, Rutgers (3), Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut (3), USF, FIU, Buffalo, Delaware, Robert Morris, Marshall, and Temple (2). The Falcons currently have 49 active players in 1-A and 48 in 1-AA.
