CANTON – Kyle Edwards, a freshman on the St. Lawrence men’s basketball team, was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 24.

In losses to Brockport and Oswego, Edwards averaged 13.5 points and four rebounds including a season-high 19 points and five rebounds in a 90-84 setback to Oswego.

A starter on Norwich High School’s back-to-back Section IV championship teams (2012-2013), Edwards has started all four games for the Saints (1-3) averaging 11 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
