DELHI – Overtime losers at Oxford last month, Delhi avenged that defeat in the MAC mini-tournament Monday night.

Connor Gioffe, who did not score in the previous meeting against Oxford, led Delhi with 14 points. The Bulldogs erased a five-point deficit after one quarter to take a seven-point lead into halftime. The advantage grew to 10 after three quarters.

"We had some foul trouble in the second quarter, and that hurt us defensively," said Oxford coach Tim Davis. "Our defense was just a step slow tonight, and we didn't shoot well at all."

Oxford shot just 29 percent for the game and made two of 11 three-point attempts.
