Elementary students at Valley Heights Christian Academy recently learned about the sticky business of the local maple industry by visiting Rocky Knoll Maple in Preston. Pictured, Scot Lindrige, owner of Rocky Knoll Maple, demonstrates the art of syrup making to third and fourth students. On average, Lindrige taps 650 maple trees per year to produce up to 80 gallons of maple syrup.
