NORWICH – On the evening of Tuesday, April 29 a motor vehicle accident occurred on state Highway 12 in front of Fred's Inn Restaurant and Lodging. According to Sargent Bullis of the State Police in Norwich, the first vehicle was traveling south on Route 12 when the second vehicle entered the road from a parking lot on the west shoulder. The second vehicle traveled directly into the path of the first car.

“The first car struck the second car at a right angle sustaining damages to both vehicles,” said Bullis.

A call to 911 was received at 5:43 p.m. and police and emergency responders soon arrived at the scene.
