Oneonta 8, Norwich 1

Oneonta’s Bri Baker threw a two hit, 15 strikeout masterpiece against Norwich, leading her team to victory.
“We played them on Tuesday, earlier in the week and all she threw was fastballs and a couple of change ups. She had 14 strikeouts on Tuesday night,” said Norwich varsity softball head coach Scott Moore. “She was throwing a good change-up on us and I never knew she had one. She sneaks those breaking balls around the corners, and every umpire, they love to see her come pitch.”
Breanna Cashman scored the Purple’s only run on a lead off home run to left center in the seventh.
“It rolled and rolled and rolled,” Moore said, “ She got all of it.”
