NORWICH – The commander of American Legion Post 189 in Norwich presented a check to the Norwich Police Chief Joseph Angelino on Thursday to assist with the start-up costs for a new K-9 unit for the department.

“One of our biggest goals is to help the community,” said Michele Gray, Commander of Post 189. “Joe (Angelino) is not only a combat veteran but also a brother in uniform and we are so happy to be able to assist.”

Angelino said he was extremely grateful for the donation.
