Frontier to add 60 new jobs

SHERBURNE – With expanding business in recent years, Frontier Communications is now looking to also expand its employee base.

Frontier Communications announced this week that it is currently recruiting 60 new full-time employees to work as facility assigner positions in the greater Sherburne and Norwich areas. Frontier says additional employees are needed to meet the demands of a growing nitch in the company’s broadband services.

“Frontier is expanding in its broadband service and the Sherburne and Norwich locations play a big piece in that,” said Frontier Vice President J. Mark Salazar.

Frontier is planning a two-day career fair to be held from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, and again from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, May 22 at its offices located at 14 Classic St. in the Village of Sherburne. Potential hires are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and prepare for pre-screening interviews. The company is encouraging candidates to also apply online in advance of the job fair by visiting www.frontier.com/careers and searching jobs with reference numbers 311145-798, 311144-798 and 311146-798.

“It’s going to be a big challenge for us to hire so many new people, but it’s something that we are looking forward to,” added Salazar. “With expanding business, we’re trying to stay ahead of the curve. This is good news for the company and we think it’s really going to be good for the community.”
