Norwich stranded 16 on base in Tuesday’s loss to the Windsor Black Knights.
The Tornado left the bases loaded in the second, third and sixth innings.
“We left at least one guy on in every inning,” said Norwich varsity baseball head coach Rich Turnbull, “ We weren’t swinging the bat.”
The Tornado walked 14 times and had nine strikeouts.
Robert Jeffery went 2-3 with a run scored.

Norwich scored four runs in the fourth inning to beat Johnson City on Monday.
Cody Barnes and John Yacano singled in the fourth, followed by a full count walk for senior Nick Mooney.
With the bases loaded, Collin Fern hit a two RBI single scoring Yacano and Barnes.
With Fern and Mooney at first and second, Robert Jeffrey hit a triple down the left field line, scoring both.
Fern would finish 2-4 with three RBI.
“He had back to bak innings with RBI” said Norwich varsity baseball head coach Rich Turnbull, “He had huge hits for us.”
Cody Barnes was 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. He also had four strikeouts and allowed only four hits in the complete game pitching victory.
“All of our seniors came through tonight,” Turnbull said.

Unatego 2, Oxford 1
Oxford scored one run in the fourth inning but could not keep the Trojans off the board , losing Tuesday in the second round of the MAC playoffs.
The Blackhawks Jeff Lawton drew a full count walk with one out in the fourth.
Lawton moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on a Matt Moore RBI single.
Unatego had just six hits in the one run win as Cameron Heggie pitched “exceptionally well.”
“He threw strikes all game long, struck out five and didn’t walk a batter,” said Oxford varsity baseball head coach Chris Palmer.
In the bottom of the third, Unatego had a runner on third base with no outs and Heggie wiggled his way out of the jam, striking out consecutive batters to end the inning.
“Cameron pitched very, very well” Palmer said, “Their pitcher matched him the whole way.”
Oxford finished fourth in the MAC and plays Sherburne Earlville at home Friday before sectionals begin on Tuesday.

Norwich had a five run sixth inning but could not get over a one run hump to beat Johnson City on Monday.
Kassidy Seary lead of the sixth with a walk, Breanna Cashman then singled.
Morgan Loucks followed with a two run triple.
Stephanie Meyer hit an RBI single, driving in Loucks from third.
Abby Snow walked and with runners on first and second, Hannah Eddy tripled driving both runners in.
Eddy finished 3-4 with two RBI.
The Tornado left eight on base, leaving the bases loaded in the fifth.

The fifth began with a walk and a fielder’s choice.
With two runners on base, Rheia Benedict hit a double for two of her five RBI.
Oxford pitcher Lorrin Parks had six strikeouts, 12 walks and five hit batsmen.
Unatego’s Hannah Bohacek went 3-2 with three RBI and three runs scored.
