Oxford Academy Superintendent resigns

At last night’s board of education meeting, the Oxford Academy and Central School District’s Board accepted the resignation of Dr. David Richards, Superintendent of Schools.

Richards, who had been the superintendent in Oxford since 2012, is resigning to become the Superintendent of Schools in the Unatego Central School District, where he resides.

They also agreed to engage the services of Grayson Stevens as Interim Superintendent while they search for a permanent replacement. Stevens, of Oxford, retired as the district’s superintendent in 2005, and has served as an interim in several area districts since that time.
