NORWICH – Oneonta's Abby Picinich had two goals and one assist as Oneonta eased away from Norwich in Monday's contest.

Picinich scored with 14 minutes left in the first half, then added her second goal of the game - with 27 minutes left in regulation - to create a three-goal advantage.

Norwich hung in for most of the game behind the strong goalkeeping of junior Kassidy Seary. Seary made 20 saves, several of the spectacular variety

"She was the best player on the field tonight," said Norwich coach Adam Sprague of Seary. "She had an outstanding game, and I was impressed with the way she played."

Norwich plays at Chenango Valley Thursday.

SOUTH OTSELIC – Otselic Valley's strong second half was not enough to overcome a three-goal halftime deficit to McGraw Monday afternoon.

"We were there to watch the first half, and McGraw took advantage," said OV coach Jacob Preston. "The second half, we decided it was time to play."

Austin Reynolds had two unassisted goals for OV in the first 25 minutes of the second half. With three minutes remaining, an apparent Vikings tying goal was waved off by officials. "This game could have been over in the first half, but my players never gave up and continued to battle,” Preston said.
