In light of Fire Safety and Prevention Week, the Norwich Fire Department hosted an educational open house Thursday. Attendees were able to get some hot tips on fire safety, explore firefighter equipment and vehicles, and come face to face with Sparky, the fire safety K-9. The event also featured a mock crash put on by members of the NFD and students from the Norwich High School to teach about the dangers of texting while driving.
