Day honored for third time this season by SUNYAC
ONEONTA – State University of New York Athletic Conference Commissioner, Tom DiCamillo, announced Tuesday that SUNY Oneonta senior Andrea Day has been selected as the SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Week in the sport of field hockey. It’s third time this fall that Day has been selected for the honor as the Red Dragons went 1-1 in two games last week.
Day continued to lead the offense for Oneonta scoring twice while adding a pair of assists. She tallied the lone goal in a 6-1 loss at Hamilton last Wednesday before collecting one goal and two assists Saturday, Oct.11 in a 3-2 victory against Bates College. Her goal was the game-winner as the Red Dragons overcame a 2-1 halftime deficit to defeat the Bobcats.
