UV Parent School Team family fun night a success
NEW BERLIN — The Unadilla Valley Parent School Team ( UVPST) hosted its annual Night of Fun on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.
A wide variety of gift cards donated by individuals were raffled as door prizes as well as donations by NY Pizzeria, New Berlin Rotary, Norwich Dunkin' Donuts, and Larry Meyers. There were free donuts, cider and coffee available for all to enjoy. The UV honor society frightened the kids in their spook hall. Make it UP professional face painter Denise was all the rave. Relay for Life did a scavenger hunt with all the kids, which won them a $50 cash prize for best activity.
Tools for schools had a photo booth, troop 30030 did a donuts on a string activity and the Village of New Berlin hosted a give away table.
They passed out candy, door prize tickets and awarded many prizes and awards at the costume judging. Lynn Macumber extended gratitude to the more than 25 student volunteers, the school organizations that were involved this year as well as the New Berlin rotary for its continued support. Macumber's husband Tim and daughter Alexa also helped by picking up pizza for the volunteers, setting up and cleaning up.
Macumber also said to make mention of the UV janitorial staff for a job well done yet again and that she has already started planning the 2015 event and anyone wishing to be a vendor at the next event should contact by email uvpst@yahoo.com.
