Local artists’ work on display at Uncorked

NORWICH – Two local artists are currently displaying their work at local café, Uncorked through the end of November.

The café has kept up with the trend of showcasing artists month after month by allowing a rotation of artists to display their work throughout the building. Every two months the art changes. From painting to photography to mixed media and more, the look of the café seems to be ever-changing.

Along the main wall is work by Norwich resident Shane Reynolds. Reynolds is displaying both his original paintings as well as his photography. This 17-year-old is well on his way as a successful artist as he has won several awards for his work and most recently opened his own business, Shane Reynolds Photography.

“Much of my work being shown focuses on capturing the 'essence' of a person. Many of my paintings are themed similar to Andy Warhol's style of 'pop art'. Including a few Marilyn Monroe portraits, and my photography has a retro fashion theme,” Reynolds said.
