Off selected Alfred Female Athlete of the Week
ALFRED– Sophomore forward, Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley), earned the Alfred University Female Athlete of the Week award following two strong performances at the Brockport Tip-Off Tournament this past weekend.
Off, a starter on the Saxons’ women’s basketball team, was named to the All-Tournament team averaging 18.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while adding five steals and four blocks. She played 79 minutes over the course of two games as she was an integral part in the Saxons' opening performances.
Through five games this season, Off leads the Saxons with 17.4 points, nine rebounds, and nearly three steals per game.
Komendarek, Scheer named to STAC volleyball all-stars
BINGHAMTON – Coming off an 11-4 record and a third-place finish in the Section IV Class B tournament this past season, Norwich's varsity volleyball team had two players named to the Southern Tier Athletic Conference all-star teams.
Meghan Komendarek, a sophomore, was selected as a STAC All-Conference performer in the East/Central divisions, and senior Courtney Scheer was named to the All-East division all-stars.
Komendarek, a middle hitter for the Tornado, had 166 kills, 25 blocks, and 14 aces this season, and Scheer, an outside hitter, finished with 71 kills and 28 aces.
