Unadilla Valley 32, G-MU 24
COPES CORNERS – Unadilla Valley used a quick spurt in the third quarter to open up its halftime lead in Tuesday’s non-league win at G-MU.
Sierra Badger had six of her 14 points in the third quarter as UV used a trap out of its pressure defense to create easy buckets.
The lead grew to 10 points in the fourth when the Storm’s Breanna Christian hit a three to make it 30-20.
Meghan Meers scored 13 for G-MU, and her last bucket closed UV’s lead to 30-24. “We played some solid defense and I was happy with that,” said Raiders coach Jim Johnson. “We just need to get a little more out of our offense.”
G-MU (1-2) plays Morris next Wednesday.
