New Berlin updated with new banners and signs
NEW BERLIN— The Village of New Berlin is getting a face lift this year by putting up new downtown welcome banners and replacing village street signs.
Preferred Mutual Insurance Company in New Berlin donated the money for the banners and signs to give back to the community.
Corporate Communications Manager Cristina Hatem said, “We provided the village with the funds to put 12 banners off Route 8 on Main Street. We are also replacing 42 street signs in the village.”
The 12 welcome banners are in the process of being strung along Main Street, with some of them already hung. The 42 village street signs came in on Tuesday and will started being replaced this week.
Hatem said the current village street signs have the old Preferred Mutual logo on them and are at least 20 years old. “This year we launched a new brand and updated our logo. We didn't want to have our old logo still out there and also thought it was time to revamp the signs,” added Hatem.
