Bainbridge-Guilford 52, Unatego 28
BAINBRIDGE – Bainbridge-Guilford held Unatego to just nine points in the second half to pull away for its seventh win of the season Thursday night.
Just two days earlier, the Spartans put 64 points on the board and had multiple players score in double figures. Cassidy Newman had 13 for Unatego, but B-G eighth-grader Abi Selfridge picked up Newman man-to-man in the second half, and held her to two points.
Selfridge scored a season-high 15 points to go with 10 rebounds, and Morgan Bullis scored a team-high 17 points, while snaring eight rebounds.
“Unatego had some good size and was definitely bigger than us, but we did a nice job on the boards and shot the ball fairly well tonight,” said B-G coach Bob Conway.

Harpursville 57, Greene 44
HARPURSVILLE – Harpursville connected on seven three-pointers as the Hornets halted Greene’s six-game winning streak Thursday night.
The Trojans trimmed a 12-point halftime deficit to six with less than four minutes to play in the fourth. Harpursville’s Rachel Ballard banked in a three ball with one second left on the shot clock to stem the rally.
“I felt we were going to get a stop and have a chance at a comeback,” said Greene coach Dave Gorton, referring to Ballard’s well-timed three ball for Harpursville. “We lost some people on inbounds plays, and that was just our lack of communication. We haven’t really been tested in a road game, and we missed some things we don’t normally miss.”
Shelby Medovich led Harpursville with 17 points.
Katie Carey scored 13 for Greene (6-2) and Audrey Platta pitched in with 11 markers. Greene hosts Afton on Wednesday.
