Police: Man gave false sworn statement about his sex offender address

NORWICH – Anthony J. Biviano, arrested Monday for failure to register/change of address as a sex offender, was arrested again Tuesday.
Biviano was arrested by Norwich Police at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday for making an apparently sworn false statement in the first degree, a class E felony.
According to the police report, the false sworn statement charge is related to his sex offender address.
Monday, Biviano was arrested, arraigned in Norwich City Court and released on his own recognizance.
Tuesday’s arrest led to an arraignment in Norwich City Court and Biviano was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
Biviano is to appear in court again for a felony hearing on Jan. 20, 2014.
