A one car MVA leaves occupant trapped for extended period of time

GREENE – Shortly before 4 a.m. On Saturday, Jan. 17 2015, Greene Fire, Greene EMS, and Chenango Forks Fire responded to reports of a one car motor vehicle accident on Route 12, south of Greene.
It was reported that the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a utility pole. The accident left the occupant seriously injured and trapped in the vehicle for an extended period of time. Heavy extrication was required. LifeNet was not available at the time of the accident so the patient was airlifted by Guthrie Air.
The New York State Police are investigating the incident.
