Norwich two-car MVA results in rollover, minimal injuries
NORWICH — A two vehicle MVA in the Town of Norwich resulted in rollover of one of the vehicles shortly before 11 a.m. Friday morning.
The incident occurred at the intersection of county Road 33 “Polkville Hill” and county Road 34 “Springvale Rd.”
According to bystander Josh Sheldon who witnessed the incident, a gray Subaru Legacy made a right turn from county Road 34 onto county Road 33 into the path of a red westbound Ford pickup truck that was traveling through the intersection.
Sheldon said that the truck attempted to swerve around the car, making impact to the rear of the smaller vehicle. “The driver of the pickup attempted to miss the car and overcorrected and put it [the truck] into the ditch. Once the front tire hit the soft shoulder and the snow the driver lost control and it flipped.”
Sheldon, who was working outside of his home with his father heard the collision and assisted the driver of the pickup after breaking the passengers side window and assisting until first responders arrived.
