Drugs recovered following 'no knock' in Norwich

NORWICH — Cocaine, marijuana, illegally possessed prescription pills, digital scales and baggies were recovered from a Norwich residence on Thursday, Feb 5, 2015. Two arrests resulted.

"Even though the heroin epidemic is not in the headlines like it was six months ago, the struggle to contain it continues," said Lieutenant Richard Cobb of the Chenango County Sheriff's Office.

The “no knock” warrant was executed by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Norwich Police Department at approximately 6:30 p.m on Mechanic St. in the City of Norwich.

According to authorities, the search warrant stemmed from a four month long investigation involving multiple heroin and narcotic drug sales from the Norwich residence, and also in the Town of Norwich.
