Saturday night dinner to raise money for Norwich Cheerleaders
NORWICH – The Emmanuel Episcopal Church Outreach Committee in Norwich is hosting a dinner this Saturday, Feb. 28, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. to raise money for Norwich Cheerleading.
The dinner will be held in the church hall of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church at 37 West Main St. in Norwich.
Saturday night's menu includes chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, peas, cranberry sauce, dessert, and drinks. For adults age 13 and up, the meal is $7. For children 6-12, the meal is $5. Five and under are free. Takeout is also available for $7.
In addition to the meal, the Norwich Cheerleading Booster Club will be holding a Chinese Auction. They will have a variety of baskets and gifts to be raffled off.
Norwich Cheerleading invites folks to make this Saturday a night out. The Norwich Boys Basketball team will be playing in the second round of their Sectional Playoffs – directly following the meal. Folks can come out and support the cheerleaders and then make their way to the high school to support the basketball team.
Proceeds from the meal will help the cheerleading program send cheerleaders to summer camp. The cost of summer camp is approximately $250 and they typically send approximately 15 girls.
