On display: Annual high school ‘Artistic Discovery' competition at Chenango Arts Council

NORWICH – Serving as Chenango County's hub for arts and entertainment, the Chenango Arts Council's Mariea Brown and Raymond Loft Galleries are now featuring “An Artistic Discovery” Congressional Art Competition sponsored by U.S. Representative Richard Hanna and the George and Elisabeth Mead Foundation.

"An Artistic Discovery" is a juried art competition for all high school students within Congressman Hanna's 22 congressional district.

While all “artistic expression” pieces are allowed to be judged and displayed locally at the Arts Council Gallery, only two-dimensional (2D) pieces from the student submissions will move forward into the Congressional Competition.
