The Basketball Coaches Association of New York recently named its all-Section IV girls’ basketball team, coaches of the year, and players of the year.

Chenango County players Morgan Bullis of Bainbridge-Guilford and Makenzie Maynard of Norwich were among the 17 players named to the all-star team. Bullis, a senior, led the Bobcats in scoring and rebounding, and Maynard was Norwich’s leading scorer this season. Both girls played on teams that reached the Section IV finals.

Bainbridge-Guilford coach, Bob Conway, was also named the Class C coach of the year. Conway was also recently inducted into the Section IV Athletics Hall of Fame in March.

Other players named to the squad were Amanda Schiefen, Horseheads; Marlea Nolan, Horseheads; Jodi-Marie Ramil, Binghamton; Adrienne Graves, Binghamton; Olivia LeBaron, Corning; Danielle Dean, Maine-Endwell; Nicole Kazmarcyzk, Union-Endicott; Emily Merrill, Owego; Alani Gallagher, Vestal; Shayna Lee, Susquehanna Valley; Caitlyn Knapp, Susquehanna Valley; Lexi Levy, Seton Catholic Central; Mariyah Byrd, Newfield; Tori Rockefeller, South Kortright; and Brianna Lang, South Kortright.
