SYRACUSE – Norwich's top-20 ranking yielded all-state recognition in girls' basketball for the 2014-2015 season.

In a release from the New York State Sports Writers Association Wednesday, Purple Tornado players Meghan Komendarek, Shelby Benjamin, and Makenzie Maynard garnered Class B all-state honors.

Other local cagers earning all-state recognition were Sherburne-Earlville's Lilly Berg, Greene's Katie Carey, and Bainbridge-Guilford's Morgan Bullis.
