10th Annual Stratton tourney held at Bluestone Golf Course

OXFORD – The 10th Annual Charles Stratton Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament was held Saturday at the Bluestone Golf Course in Oxford with 28 teams and over 110 players participating.
The money raised from this tournament is given yearly to three deserving students, one from Oxford Academy and Central School where Charlie was a student, teacher and coach; and one student each from Stockbridge Valley and Unadilla Valley Central Schools where Charlie had been the superintendent of schools.
To date, more than $20,000 has been given to students to help with their education. The winning team of this year's tournament was Team NBT consisting of Jordan Alger, Josh Bennett, Justin Bennett and Scott Seiler.
The Stratton Family would like to thank the staff of Bluestone Golf Course, the participating golfers, the hole sponsors, individual donors, and local businesses for their continued support in helping to sustain the scholarship fund in memory of Charlie. The tournament is held yearly on the first Saturday in June. For information on past and future tournaments, visit the Facebook site: Charles Stratton Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament.
