Meet and greet & fundraiser planned at the Silo for District Attorney Joseph McBride, Chemung County Sheriff to speak
GREENE – A meet and greet and fundraiser for Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride is set to be held at 5:30 p.m., July 9 at the Silo Restaurant in Greene.
Chemung County Sheriff and 2014 Lieutenant Governor candidate Chris Moss is slated to be at the event. Moss will speak and answer questions of those in attendance.
Moss spent 27 years in law enforcement, and spent many years as a Commander and Investigator with the Criminal Investigation Division. In 2005 he was elected as Chemung County’s Sheriff, and was re-elected in 2009 and 2013.
Additionally, Moss is the former President of the New York State Sheriff’s Association. He has been a forthright critic of the New York Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act of 2013, commonly known as the NY SAFE Act.
Per a release regarding the event, “He (Moss) has also been a strong advocate for cleaning up corruption in government.”
“I’m honored to welcome Sheriff Moss back to Chenango County for our event,” said Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride. “He has been an ardent fighter for our second amendment rights and for all of upstate New York. I’m proud to stand with him to help him with this important work.”
Re-Elect Joseph McBride for District Attorney Committee Member Joseph Angelino said, “This event will allow those attending to first off hear a dynamic speaker, Sheriff Chris Moss, address the crowd.” Angelino additionally explained that both Moss and McBride care deeply about the second amendment. “We know the people in this area are very concerned about their second amendment rights.”
Angelino added that McBride will be speaking to those in attendance who may have questions or concerns. As a public servant of the community, Angelino said McBride is there for the people.
“Mr. McBride will be happy to talk to anyone with concerns within his scope of office,” said Angelino. “Those who don’t or can’t attend the event are welcome to speak to their District Attorney Mr. McBride anytime by contacting him at his county office in the Eaton Center.”
“No one needs to pay or attend any event to speak to their DA with their concerns,” said Angelino.
An array of Hors d’oeuvres will be provided throughout the evening at the Silo. Tickets can be purchased for $40 per individual, or $250 for a sponsorship. A sponsorship receives four tickets and recognition at the event.
